Studio. An experience area for everybody

In the MdM MÖNCHSBERG, several times per year, an experience area is set up for children. Here children can themselves become active and creative with interactive elements. Please find out more using the following link regarding our latest offering

Here's what a lady visitor had to say about this: "It's wonderful that the experience area is back again. Our two girls are now 5 and 7 years old. About three years ago, we discovered your offer and used it again and again.  Since then, our children accompany us to art exhibitions, almost as something that is taken for granted, and without them being shy or uncomfortable about it. Thanks for that!"

Children's programme

On Family Sundays in the  MdM MÖNCHSBERG workshops take place for children, starting from the age of 5 years. You will find the current events here Junges Museum.

Tips and ideas for the museum visit

To structure your visit to the exhibition in an entertaining way, you don't need to be an art expert. There are lots of possibilities to discover things together. Here we have put together some tips and ideas for you.

I see something that you don't see …
A child takes a look around and picks out a work of art or a detail from a work of art. Who will reveal the secret?

Imitate a pose
Secretly pick out a work of art with a person in it. Take a careful look at the work and then imitate the pose. Who will guess which work you have in mind?

Sketching
You bring along a pencil and paper for your visit the museum. Sketching a picture, you look more carefully at a work of art; for a short time it is completely the focus of your attention. .
