Generali Foundation Study Center

The Generali Foundation Study Center, recently opened in the Museum der Moderne Salzburg, Rupertinum invites visitors to discover modern and contemporary art. The large reading room looking out onto the Festival district and the Franz West-Lounge above offer plenty of scope for researching themes ranging from modernism to contemporary art. Together with the temporary exhibitions in the adjacent study gallery, the Center offers the possibility for visual experience and research. The Generali Foundation Study Center and its facilities are available free of charge.
Apart from a library with some 42 000 volumes, exhibition catalogues, and books on the history and theory of art, art lovers can also browse through a large selection of international art magazines and a rich array of artists' book. The Generali Foundation’s collection of around five-hundred videos can also be exclusively viewed, and there is a wide-ranging archive on artists in the collections and the Generali Foundation and Museum der Moderne Salzburg exhibitions.
Study Center hours: Tue–Thu 10 am – 3 pm and by arrangement, free Admission
