The artist Edgar Honetschläger has initiated an ecological art and public education project to curb humanity’s ruthless exploitation of nature. Teaming up with lawyers at DLA PIPER and biologists, he has set up the nonprofit organization GoBugsGo, which will acquire parcels of land and turn them into collective property in an effort to put a stop to the destruction of nature and biological diversity before it is too late. A series of interdisciplinary events the artist kicked off in Vienna in late 2018 to publicize the venture now comes to the Museum der Moderne Salzburg with a lecture and performance act. By buying a GoBugsGo  art ’n’ nature package (a jar with vegetables from Honetschläger’s organic farm preserved by the artist himself, a signed original fine art print, and a certificate), art lovers can support the project, which aims to return swaths of land to nature.
