The Museum der Moderne Salzburg opens the exhibition Július Koller. U.F.O.-naut J.K. – together with a new Reading and Media Lounge, inviting visitors to discover, browse, and linger.

The exhibition is dedicated to the Slovak artist Július Koller (1939–2007), who turned everyday life into art – and art into an act of resistance. With humor and irony, he challenged the rules of the authoritarian regime and transformed simple gestures into subtle acts of freedom.

At its center is his long-term project U.F.O.-naut J.K. (U.F.O.), created over several decades, which understands art as utopian thinking within the everyday. Koller is regarded as one of the most significant voices of the dissident art scene in Eastern Europe.

Opening with Director Harald Krejci, Curator Jürgen Tabor, and Stefanie Grünangerl (Reading and Media Lounge).

We look forward to welcoming you!
