Opening: EveryBody! What Bodies Tell Us. Photography and Media Art from 1945 to Today

06.11.2025 | 19:00 — 21:00
Old Town (Rupertinum)

The Museum der Moderne Salzburg opens the exhibition EveryBody! What Bodies Tell Us. Photography and Media Art from 1945 to Today  an invitation to see the body anew as a mirror of social change.

What does our body reveal about ourselves and the society we live in? The exhibition explores this question, showing how artists since 1945 have depicted the human body as a reflection of social transformations, norms, and power structures. Photography, video, and media art make visible how bodies express identity, freedom, and resistance—while also being judged, shaped, and controlled. The body thus becomes a site where personal and political narratives intersect.

Featuring works by VALIE EXPORT, Cindy Sherman, Nobuyoshi Araki, Nan Goldin, Zanele Muholi, and many other artists.

We look forward to welcoming you!
