Camouflage and Collage: Merging the queer body with the cityscape

30.08.2025 | 11:00 — 13:00

Join MdMS’ artist in residency Abi Hodson for a collage and zine-making workshop exploring their research themes of camouflage, visibility, and merging with the city. In this workshop Abi will share collage and zine-making techniques to explore how we can queer the relationship between our bodies and the cityscape. Participants will collage zines which, at the end of the workshop, they will exchange so everyone will take home the reflections and knowledge created by someone else.

Abi (K’jipuktuk/Halifax, Tiohtià:ke/Montreal) is a trans, transdisciplinary artist investigating the relationships of intimate bodies, collective bodies, and bodies in space/place. They focus their work on earnest, playful, and eerie sensation explorations, seeking to spark curiosity, delight, and generative discordance. While in Salzburg they will be using video, movement, collage, and zine-making to research how we can enmesh ourselves with the cityscape and queer the body’s relationship to the built environment. They are excited to invite you into this process!

Open to queers and those who love us. All ages.
