Curiosity in Flux: Art from Salzburg between Fresh Start and Recollection

The exhibition gathers works by artists who, in one way or another, had a relationship with Salzburg. They interrogate the landscape with its mountains and bodies of water and explore fresh starts, efforts to spread light, and layered traces of the past. The presentation surprises visitors with perplexing discontinuities, sharp insights, and perspectives that transcend the bounds of the familiar. Works from the collections of the Museum der Moderne Salzburg and Artothek Land Salzburg as well as selected loans paint a multifaceted and constantly shifting portrait of a place we think we know intimately.

Cultural participation and curiosity are the guiding ideas of the curated program of events, with special guided tours, performances, and workshops.
