Curiosity in Flux: Art from Salzburg between Fresh Start and Recollection

The exhibition brings together works by artists with roots in Salzburg and opens up diverse perspectives on an ostensibly familiar place. Cultural participation and curiosity are at the center of the accompanying program, with special guided tours and workshops.

Picturesque landscapes, Baroque architecture, an eventful cultural history

The participating artists chart very different courses and work with a wide range of media. What unites them: they move beyond familiar boundaries and invite viewers to embark on a search for clues. Associations with the image of the Festival City, the Baroque world heritage site, and an engagement with memory and perception challenge our visual habits and perspectives.

The exhibition features works by Alexandra Baumgartner, Thomas Baumann, Jakob Buchner, EVA & ADELE, Heinrich Dunst, Günter Edlinger, Monika Fioreschy, Eva Grubinger, Alfred Haberpointner, Theresa Hattinger (design), Thomas Hörl, Thomas Nowotny, Monika Pichler, Sarah Pichlkostner, Lois Renner, Wilhelm Scheruebl, Elisabeth Schmirl, Margherita Spiluttini, Gerold Tusch, and Antoinette Zwirchmayr.

With works from the collections of the Museum der Moderne Salzburg and the Artothek Land Salzburg, as well as selected loans.
