Expert Talk with Monica Merlin

In the context of the exhibition STEPPING OUT! Female Identities in Chinese Contemporary Art, expert talks will be held. Members of the exhibition's international advisory board will be invited. The scientific advisory board, consisting of four experts on female and feminist art in China, helped the curators with the conception of the exhibition. The talks will take place online via zoom in English.

Advisory Board member Monica Merlin (Doha, QA) and the artists Cao Yu  and Chen Zhe from the exhibition discuss recent practices of women artists in mainland China and how to re-write art history in contemporary Chinese art and visual culture.
